- Election Day 2021November 2, 2021
On this first Tuesday of November, the first day my name has appeared on a ballot, after the day could not have started anymore perfectly. Woke up with great energy & attitudes, we all charged out of the house eager to start this day head on and to finish what we started, TOGETHER.

- Final Campaign Weekend – 5 PicturesNovember 1, 2021
What a weekend! Friday was costume shopping (nothing like waiting until the last minute), Saturday was Halloween in Hopkins which surpassed all of our wildest expectations. Saturday night we created our own little pub crawl along Mainstreet on Saturday night (we tried our best to help a nice lady find her shoes), and Sunday of course was Halloween and all about the kids.

- “Crime Fighting Local Business Owner” – We need a more catchy super hero name…October 29, 2021
Still unsure about what to be for Halloween? Consider thinking of your local heroes, or picking your own crime fighter character. Maybe I'll be a Crime Fighting Local Business Owner as a throwback to this memory from 2006. In all seriousness, public safety services are able to be most effective when partnering with the citizens they serve. Hopkins Police has an excellent reputation for community outreach which helps all of us maintain a safer city.

We love a good weekend here in the Stiele House. Sam's Weekend in 5 Pictures will hopefully make you smile. Look at all the purple. This week marked MEA for my kids. Mentoring is one of the most important actions we can take to support a strong city for years to come. Throughout my campaign, I have shared that a focus during my mayoral term will be mentoring others to lead in the future. Today I am proud to announce that I will use any funds generated from the office of Hopkins Mayor, typically going to the mayor themselves, plus some personal funds, to create a Raspberry Scholarship Fund. Funds will be donated for the lifetime of my service to the Hopkins Community.

- Stiele History – Show UpOctober 8, 2021
Stiele History goes deeper than just Sam. We have a history of showing up. The men in this picture have instilled that in me and my wife. Both of these great men served in the armed forces. My father-in-law (on the left) was in the Navy, my father (on the right) was in the Marines. If you see them around town, please say thank you. Not just for what they have done for our country, but for Hopkins as well.

- “Lady Gaga’s Meat Suit”October 1, 2021
Lady Gaga’s Meat Suit... Now that I have your attention! I want to share a podcast that I have listened regularly for some time now. One episode is literally called Lady Gaga’s Meat Suit because they are discussion architecture and facades in towns like Hopkins. The comparison is to a bride, you never want to upstage the bride by wearing Lady Gaga’s Meat Suit to a wedding. Focusing on every building being “the bride” is not a symbiotic way to manage town development.
